About me

My name is Simone and I am an integrative counsellor practising in London, United Kingdom. I offer a safe and confidential environment in which to support my clients with their psychological problems. Sessions are available both in Italian and English.

Through a trusting relationship I help clients with a wide range of issues. I help my clients by offering an empathic, warm, and non-judgmental space where clients can freely express themselves.

My aim is to help the clients to not only address their issues but also develop their full potential in life by focusing on personal strengths and abilities. At the heart of my work is the belief that meaningful change is possible when clients feel supported, understood and empowered. Rather than following a fixed process, I tailor my approach to each individual while remaining grounded in scientific evidence.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a BSc (Hons) in Counselling from the University of East London, and I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).

Alongside my private practice I work as Clinical Team Leader at The Awareness Centre for NHS Lambeth Talking Therapies service.

I work with adults experiencing a wide range of psychological and emotional difficulties including depression, anxiety, concentration and memory issues, and family and relational conflicts. I have a strong professional focus on obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), supported by specialised training and research in this area.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

Integrative therapy brings together different therapeutic theories and techniques to provide a flexible, personalised approach. In my practice, I may draw on aspects of Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) alongside the insights offered by Psychodynamic therapy, depending on what is most appropriate for you and your goals. While non-directive counselling can be a valuable approach for some people, it is not a service that I offer.
