About me
You may be considering therapy with a very clear idea of what is troubling you, such as a painful bereavement, depression, or relationship problems. Alternatively, you might simply have a vague, persistent sense that something isn’t right, or feel that certain personal or professional difficulties keep repeating themselves. Your own reasons, however vague or unformed they might feel, are exactly where we begin your therapy from.
My Approach
Alongside my MSc in Counselling, I possess a law degree. This translates into therapy that may be described as grounded, analytical, and empathetic. My approach to therapy helps you to recognise patterns in your life and understand why you feel and act in particular ways. Through this, new possibilities and choices can be identified.
Specialisms & Focus
While my practice welcomes adults from all backgrounds, I specialise in working with individuals who are driven and/or high achievers who may be grappling with issues such as burnout, stress, and perfectionism.
I have extensive experience working with complex loss through my previous time as a volunteer counsellor at St Barnabas Hospice, Lincolnshire.
Logistics & Enquiries
I am able to offer both targeted, short-term work and open-ended, long-term therapy. Sessions are held in person at my therapy room in North Hykeham (LN6), over the telephone, or online via video call. I endeavour to respond to all enquiries within 24 hours (Mon-Fri) or 48 hours (weekends). If you find you haven’t received a response, please check your spam/junk folders.
If you would like to arrange a free 15-minute introductory telephone or video call before making your first appointment, please let me know when you get in touch.
