About me
Hi, I’m Simon, a warm welcome to my profile.
I am a qualified psychotherapist with an MSc in Person-Centred & Experiential Psychotherapy from The Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute in Nottingham.
My therapeutic approach...
I offer a relaxed and confidential space, both in-person and online, where you can explore personal challenges and life's difficulties. My approach is relational and person-centred, where you will be valued, listened to, and not judged, fostering an environment for change and growth.
My journey into Psychotherapy...
My psychotherapy journey came directly from my own experience; I have ‘trodden the path’ of personal therapy myself. This inspired me to train as a psychotherapist, where I now support others with life's challenges, self-development, and wellbeing.
What does the direction of therapy look like?
The direction of therapy will be guided by you; our time together may be short or long-term, depending on your wishes. I will respect you as the expert in your own life and experiences. My role in the therapeutic relationship is to walk alongside you as we collaboratively explore your personal world and experiences.
I have a love for the outdoors and connecting with nature, and I am often found walking my dogs in the local countryside, which is an essential part of my personal self-care and wellbeing.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
I offer all potential new clients the opportunity of a free 20 minute phone call. This call offers you the time to give me an overview of the presenting issues being experienced and to ask any questions you may have about the therapy process.
This supports me in gaining an understanding of the presenting issues and how I can support you moving forward.
