About me

General Information

I offer both face-to-face and online therapy sessions.

I work from offices in Sheffield city centre, opposite the train station, and in Wath upon Dearne. I offer therapy for individuals as well as relationship counselling for couples and partnerships.

Please scroll to the section most relevant to you.

**Individual Therapy Section**

Starting therapy can feel daunting. Maybe you’ve spent months telling yourself you should be coping better by now. Maybe your mind never really switches off. Maybe you feel anxious, overwhelmed, stuck in the same patterns, disconnected from yourself, or exhausted from holding everything together for everyone else.

Or maybe something painful has happened, and you’re trying to work out who you are now in the aftermath of it.

I’m a psychotherapist who works with both individuals and couples, and I offer a warm, collaborative and down-to-earth space to explore whatever it is you’re carrying.

I don’t believe therapy has to feel cold, clinical or like you’re being analysed from behind a clipboard. I think healing happens in relationships where people feel safe enough to be honest, messy, vulnerable, angry, grieving, hopeful or completely unsure where to even begin.

My approach is relational, compassionate and trauma-informed. I draw from somatic approaches, parts work/Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment theory and nervous system regulation. That means we won’t just talk about what you think, we’ll also explore what you feel, what your body is holding onto, and the deeper patterns that may be keeping you stuck.

I often work with people who:

  • struggle with anxiety or overthinking
  • feel emotionally overwhelmed
  • have experienced difficult relationships or betrayal
  • feel stuck in people-pleasing or self-abandonment
  • carry shame, low self-worth or a harsh inner critic
  • want healthier relationships with themselves and others
  • feel disconnected, burnt out or “too much”
  • are trying to understand why they keep repeating the same pattern

I also know life is hard sometimes. Humans are complicated. Therapy doesn’t require you to have the perfect words or to present the polished version of yourself. You are allowed to come exactly as you are.

Above all, I aim to create a space where you feel genuinely seen, supported and understood, while also helping you move towards meaningful change, not just insight.

I work with people from a wide range of backgrounds, identities and relationship experiences, and I aim to offer an inclusive, affirming and non-judgemental space for all clients.

I have experience working with LGBTQIA+ clients, as well as people navigating non-monogamous/polyamorous relationships, alternative relationship structures and kink dynamics. I understand that not everybody’s relationships, identity, sexuality or experience of intimacy fits within traditional frameworks, and therapy should be a space where you don’t have to educate, minimise or hide parts of yourself to feel accepted.

If you think we might be a good fit, I’d love to hear from you.

**Couples Counselling Section**

Relationships can be one of the most beautiful parts of life, and also one of the most painful.

Many couples come to therapy feeling stuck in cycles they can’t seem to get out of. You may be having the same argument over and over again, struggling with communication, feeling emotionally disconnected, rebuilding after betrayal, navigating intimacy issues, or wondering whether your relationship can survive what’s happened.

Often, underneath conflict are two people who desperately want to feel heard, understood, valued and emotionally safe with each other again.

In couples therapy, my role isn’t to “take sides” or decide who is right and wrong. My role is to help you better understand the patterns you’ve become trapped in together, improve communication, strengthen emotional connection and create space for more honesty, empathy and understanding within the relationship.

I work in a relational and attachment-focused way, helping couples explore not just what happens between them, but why it happens.

I aim to create a space where both people feel heard without judgement — even when conversations feel difficult, emotional or vulnerable.

Couples therapy can help with:

  • communication difficulties
  • conflict and recurring arguments
  • Rebuilding trust after betrayal or infidelity
  • emotional disconnection
  • intimacy and closeness
  • navigating life changes or stress
  • attachment wounds and relationship patterns
  • feeling more like housemates than partners
  • understanding each other on a deeper level

Relationships are hard sometimes. Therapy isn’t about becoming the “perfect couple” — it’s about learning how to understand each other better, repair more effectively and decide together what kind of relationship you want to build moving forward.

I work with couples and relationship dynamics of all kinds, including LGBTQIA+ relationships, polyamorous/non-monogamous relationships and alternative relationship structures.

If you think we might be a good fit, I’d love to hear from you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
