Counselling and Psychotherapy can help you through difficult periods of your life and as life does not come with a guide book, we can often find ourselves overwhelmed, distressed and unable to cope.
I am a BA degree level trained Counsellor/Psychotherapist with a level 5 CPCAB qualification in somatic-informed trauma. This is a recognised qualification that allows me to professionally work with clients presenting with trauma including CPTSD.
I also am trained to work with couples and relationships using interventions from the Bader-Pearson Couples Institute showcasing their developmental model which encompasses differentiation theory, attachment theory and neuroscience
My counselling practice is offered to you through a joint venture with my counselling colleague and our associate counsellors, where we aim to provide you as a client, a bespoke service.
Here at A LITTLE ROOM OF THERAPY , our reflective and confidential practice provides an empathetic, understanding and non-judgemental space where both men and women can explore through our therapeutic services, ways to bring meaning, understanding and awareness into their lives.
By gentle exploration we work to support your journey through therapy, to make sense, find meaning and to encourage ways to understand and move you forward through your traumas and difficulties.
Our counselling service provides professionally qualified interventions that deal with many problems including trauma, CPTSD, relational issues, anxiety, relationship and family issues. depression, phobias, separation and divorce, abuse, panic disorders, bereavement, redundancy, low self-esteem and child related issues. These are just a few of the areas that we are experienced in and is not an exhaustive list.
We have limited availability to accept counsellors in training to support your course requirements. However, we do not provide placements for trainee counsellors.

Located within a listed building inside the grounds of Broxbourne council offices in Cheshunt, our practice is very close to junction 25 on the M25 and at College Road just off the A10. We are suitably placed to cover the Hertfordshire and Essex borders and also Enfield with North London being a short drive away. There is parking available both inside the grounds of Broxbourne Council Offices and nearby on surrounding streets .
The nearest over ground stations to us are Cuffley, Cheshunt and Theobald's Grove

I am a fully qualified and highly experienced integrative counsellor with a humanistic person-centred psychodynamic background. I work in a pluralistic way bringing a variety of counselling approaches together that are best suited to the individual client.
My experience spans over many years and I have worked within voluntary, Public Health and charity settings.
I am a qualified CPCAB level 5 Trauma therapist and in addition I incorporate mind-body-breath work approaches to foster healing and recovery.
I am experienced and trained to also work with couples and relationship issues.
Along with my Counselling Partner, I am excited to offer EFT & Matrix Imprinting. Often referred to as "Psychological acupressure", the technique works by releasing blockages within the energy system which are the source of emotional intensity and discomfort. These blockages in our energy system, in addition to challenging us emotionally, often lead to limiting beliefs and behaviours and an inability to live life harmoniously. Resulting symptoms are either emotional and/ or physical and include lack of confidence and self esteem, feeling stuck anxious or depressed, or the emergence of compulsive and addictive behaviours. It is also now finally widely accepted that emotional disharmony is a key factor in physical symptoms and dis-ease and for this reason these techniques are being extensively used on physical issues, including chronic illness with often astounding results. As such these techniques are being accepted more and more in medical and psychiatric circles as well as in the range of psychotherapies and healing disciplines. (source: The Energy Therapy Centre).
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
