About me
You can’t switch your brain off, the same thought keeps getting stuck in your head and you want it to stop. Everything seems very stressful right now, it’s hard to focus and manage your day. You’re not even sure what it is that is wrong, you just feel low, uninspired and unmotivated. It really feels like you are on your own and nobody gets what you are going through. Anxiety feels like it runs your day and you don’t know who you are without your anxiety. It feels like everyone around you has life sorted, but for you it feels like nothing makes sense.
Being stuck in feelings and thoughts like this is incredibly uncomfortable and lonely. If this resonates with you, please know you are not on your own, I can help.
I am an experienced therapeutic counsellor specialising in anxiety, depression and stressful and emotional life transitions. I can help you work out what’s fuelling your anxiety, why that low mood is so prevalent, and how to navigate the transition life has thrown at you. In our therapy sessions together, we will help you make sense of you.
I have supported many people on their therapeutic journey over the last 10 years. Listening to you and helping you really hear and understand yourself matters to me.
You get to decide what we look at, how far we go, and what feels ok – I will always check.
It is my job to hold the session, so you feel safe; to guide you at your pace and to help you find your truth and a way forward so you are no longer stuck.
Therapy gives you the opportunity to open a time and place each week where you can explore what is going on for you and learn to connect to yourself in ways that develops a clearer understanding. With that clarity and understanding comes compassion for yourself and what happened to you which opens a pathway for transformation.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a registered member of the BACP and adhere to their Ethical Framework and Professional Conduct procedures.
I have an MSc in Therapeutic Counselling from the University of Greenwich and have gone on to train further as an Internal Family Systems Therapist, completing the Level 1,2 & 3 training through the UK affiliation of the Institute for Internal Family Systems.
I have over 10 years of experience supporting people through a therapeutic, healing journey. I have worked in clinical practice for a charity supporting survivors of childhood sexual abuse, undergoing extensive CPD training in trauma informed therapy. I then went on to run a counselling service for a performing arts university for 6 years working with young adults, supporting them with multiple mental health presentations and honing my skills to work with neurodivergent clients struggling to navigate life in a mostly neurotypical world. Institutional work experience has sharpened and developed my clinical practice and I have a good understanding of safe practice and risk management. For the last year, I have been working in private practice.
I participate in regular CPD to enhance my therapeutic practice and keep my skills up to date with the latest research.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
My approach is rooted in the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model of therapy and I also utilise my initial integrative psychotherapy training. This means we will find a way of working that suits you through the framework of the IFS model, that lets you work at your own pace to understand your unique experiences. Together, we will work on uncovering the aspects of you that hold to certain patterns, beliefs and ways of coping. Our sessions will work on developing a healthier, more integrated way of understanding yourself and finding a clearer path forward.
My practice is neurodivergence-affirming, offering you a supportive environment and I will make adjustments according to your sensory needs and communication preferences.
