About me

I am a clinical psychologist who has worked within the field of mental health, trauma and relational difficulties for over 15 years. I offer a range of services including individual and group therapy, supervision, training, consultation and expert witness services.

Individual therapy:

I offer short-term and longer-term therapy options. As a Clinical Psychologist, I am trained across therapeutic models including EMDR, sensorimotor psychotherapy, CBT, ACT, group analysis, narrative therapy, solution focused hypnotherapy and more. I tailor my therapeutic approach to best meet your needs.

I work with clients with a range of difficulties including anxiety, trauma, familial and relational difficulties, work related stress, difficulties coping and adjusting, Intergenerational trauma and identity issues. We agree on therapy goals together.

Current availability:

No slots available.

What to expect:

  1. Following an initial enquiry, we will book in for a brief introductory call which provides you with the opportunity to ask me any questions you have about therapy and consider whether it is right for you. We will also discuss practicalities such as meeting, frequency and availability.
  2. If you agree to proceed, you will be sent an initial intake form to complete and return.
  3. You will be invited to an initial session. This first session will ask you about the current difficulties that have led you to therapy, may involve completion of psychological questionnaires, and seeks to gain clarity about your reasons for therapy and your goals.
  4. The next 3 or so sessions will be more assessment focused where we will continue to develop understanding of your current difficulties within the context of your life experiences. This helps us to ground the difficulties in your experiences and make sense of this together. By the end of session 4 we will plan together how we will meet your therapy goals.
  5. We will then continue with the intervention phase as planned and review regularly. This will include things such as psychoeducation, understanding how emotions and the nervous system operate, coping strategies, trauma processing, narrative life story etc. It is always tailored to what you need.

If you'd like to take the initial step and book a call, please send me an email and we can take that first step.

I am registered with CIGNA, Aviva, Vitality and WPA as insurance providers. Please note I do not currently have any concessional spaces so please check my fees.

Group therapy

I am currently holding a waiting list for a group which will focus on building knowledge and understanding about emotions, how the body works and how we can use this knowledge to support us to both understand and manage emotional experiences - be it in response to work stress, relational difficulties or past experiences. Group sessions are £35 per session and occur with at least 5 other people.

Training, qualifications & experience

Before undertaking my Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, I studied psychology at both undergraduate and masters level. Doctorate training has equipped me with the ability to use multiple models of therapy in line with evidence based practise to support clients most effectively. I have also undertaken further training in:

  • Solution Focused Hypnotherapy
  • Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Sensorimotor psychotherapy (Level 1 & 2)
  • Group Analysis Foundation and Diploma
  • Attachment, neurodevelopment and psychopathology
  • Adult Attachment Interview
  • Bond Solon Certification

I am a qualified Groupwork practitioner and solution focused hypnotherapist alongside my doctorate qualification.

I predominantly work with trauma, anxiety, stress, familial and relational difficulties, stress and depressive episodes. I'm interested in Intergenerational Trauma and how difficulties manifest across the generations alongside how difficulties show up in the body.

I also offer assessments of cognitive functioning, attachment, personality and psychological functioning and am trained in a wide variety of psychometric  tools.
