Supervision details
I currently work as a Principal Clinical Psychologist in the NHS and independent practice. I have experience of individual and group therapy, supervising teams and developing services. I have worked within acute, forensic and specialist child services. I am trained in:
- Solution focused hypnotherapy
- EMDR
- Sensorimotor psychotherapy (Level 1 & Level 2)
- Group analysis (Foundation and Diploma)
- Change Agents
- Adult Attachment Interview
- Historical Clinical Risk Management (HCR-20)
- Supervision Skills
In terms of supervision, I hold a relational supervision frame, drawing on models I have trained in including sensorimotor and group analysis. I work within a trauma and attachment sensitive lens. I tailor supervision to your supervision needs, and this can include agenda based supervision or more open exploratory supervision. I offer regular reviews for us to continually ensure supervision is meaningful and meeting its purposes. This also supports my development as a supervisor.
I'm interested in the impact of difference and marginalisation on wellbeing and identity. I support professionals to consider their role in navigating the power relations that are ever present in social interactions (for themselves and those they work with), and to better understand relational dynamics.
I offer individual and group supervision. I currently have a group supervision space on a Monday afternoon that has some spaces.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
