About me
I am a warm and down-to-earth therapist with a deep compassion for the many challenges that come with being human. In a world that’s constantly changing, it’s easy to feel stretched thin, whether in your health, work, relationships, or sense of self. I offer a non-judgemental space where you can pause, reflect, and explore what’s going on for you. Whether you're seeking confidence, connection, or clarity, I am here to support you. My aim is to help you move from just getting through the days to feeling more grounded and fully alive in them.
I use an integrative approach, blending techniques to meet your specific needs. I don’t claim to have all the answers; my role is to walk alongside you with empathy, curiosity and the occasional touch of humour. I’ll offer guidance, and gently challenge you, when needed, but ultimately, this is your journey. Whether you're looking for short-term, solution-focused support or a space to explore deeper patterns and past experiences, I honour your autonomy at every step.
I work with adults (18+) experiencing a wide range of concerns, including, but not limited to: anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship challenges, loneliness, self-esteem issues, trauma, family dynamics, stress, career difficulties, illness, ageing and personal growth. With experience as both a therapist and a former educator, I’ve had the privilege of working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Whatever you’re facing, I’ll meet you with authenticity and respect as you take your next steps.
Training, qualifications & experience
As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a holder of a Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, I am committed to providing ethical, professional, and informed support.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
Sessions are 50 minutes in length and are usually offered at weekly intervals, at the same time each week.
The first session includes a discussion of your therapy goals and an assessment of your needs. It is a chance for you to ask questions and to get a sense of myself as a therapist and whether you feel working together might help you. We will also discuss and sign the contract for services.
Prior to the first session, I offer a free 15 minute phone call.
