About me
My name is Sarah, and I am currently taking on clients, both young adults and adults, for online individual psychotherapy. My private practice is informed by an evidence-based integrative approach that prioritises individual needs and goals while offering a warm, empathetic, and safe space to explore and better manage mental health distress.
I offer an initial free 20-minute consultation either online or by phone to discuss what your needs and goals are for therapy. If it feels like the right fit for us to work together, a 60-minute assessment session can then be booked in. I see the majority of my clients once a week for 50-minute sessions online; however, we will decide together, depending on your needs and goals, what will work best for you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a fully qualified psychotherapist registered with the BACP (MBACP). I am also finishing my Doctorate of Counselling Psychology, having completed all coursework and clinical practice hours, with my doctoral thesis due to be submitted in May 2026.
I have 6 years of experience delivering mental health support and psychotherapy, both face-to-face and online, to young adults and adults in a range of settings, including the NHS, mental health charities, and university counselling centers. I have supported individuals with a wide range of mental health distress conditions, including but not limited to: depression, anxiety, stress, trauma and cPTSD, OCD, psychosis, substance misuse, grief and bereavement, chronic health difficulties, identity issues, experiences of abuse, and relationship challenges.
In my private practice, I deliver integrative psychotherapy, where I firmly believe in centering the client and the therapeutic relationship with an individualised approach. I am experienced in delivering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), psychodynamic psychotherapy, and existential psychotherapy. Depending on your needs and goals, I will work with you collaboratively to ensure we find the right approach.
At the heart of my private practice, I prioritise the development of a safe, secure, and warm environment, where clients can express themselves fully without the fear of judgement and are offered the space, support, and tools needed to make positive changes.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
