About me

I work with relationships, whether that's with you as an individual, a couple or partnership.  I work with romantic relationships, family relationships between parents and children or siblings, working relationships, friendships and that very important relationship with yourself. If you are struggling, if you're feeling, stuck, anxious, disconnected, isolated, alone, confused or unsure of how to navigate what you're going through as an individual or as a couple, I can help.

Couples My specialties are supporting couples to work through infidelity, betrayal and loss of trust, feeling disconnected, parenting, navigating significant or traumatic life changes together and neurodiversity within couples.  I can also help couples to navigate separation and divorce if they have decided that is the best path for them.  Inclusivity is important to me and I welcome all couples.

I also provide support for couples who work together and parents and carers of individuals with complex needs.

Individuals Each person is welcome and accepted as they are and for who they are.  Some of the areas I can provide support with are anxiety, chronic illness and disability, family issues, religious trauma and deconstruction, neurodiversity, depression and facing significant life changes.  I also specialise in working with carers, whether they are currently providing care or have done in the past.

Working with two I do specialised work with different relationship dynamics, between parents and their adult children, sibling relationships and working partnerships.  These relationships can have a significant impact on our lives and the work done within these can often be as life changing as within romantic relationships.

What happens next Having taken the first step to accessing support, sometimes it can be confusing about what happens next and how it works.

I offer introductory calls for potential clients to learn a bit about me and how I work.  I will talk you through what will happen during a first session, whether you're looking for online or in person sessions, and if it feels like the right fit for you, we can talk about the next steps and booking in for a session, but there is never any pressure as choosing the right therapist to support you is important.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
