About me
I am a Certified Play Therapist working with children aged 4 - 13 years. As a Play Therapist I values how the creative arts and the very nature of play are pivotal in the development of a child's emotional and social development. I provide children with every opportunity to be their authentic selves and aim to hold a space in which each child can work through and process their difficulties and challenges.
During Play Therapy children are supported to express and communicate feelings, develop healthy coping mechanisms and practice new behaviours in a safe and accepting environment.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am PTUK Certified Play Therapist. I apply a mixture of non-directive and directive approaches which are informed and led by the child. Play Therapy can offer an evidence based therapeutic approach that uses the language of play and the creative arts to allow a child to express themselves, their experiences and their inner world. My professional experience has equipped me with a varied an in-depth skill set with over 25 years of working with Children and Young People.
My qualifications include:
- Post Graduate Diploma in Play Therapy
