About me
I offer assessment, formulation and evidence based psychological intervention to adults and adolescents transitioning to adulthood. I approach therapy with a compassionate, authentic, non-judgemental stance.
I am experienced in working with a broad range of clinical presentations including anxiety (e.g. generalised anxiety, social anxiety, health anxiety, OCD) and depression as well as supporting people through difficult life circumstances (e.g. divorce, bereavement). I have specialist knowledge working with people experiencing psychological distress within the context of physical health difficulties and have an ongoing interest in work-related stress and burnout.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years of clinical experience working primarily in the NHS, but also charity, research and private settings supporting people experiencing a range of psychological difficulties. I draw on a number of evidence based models and ideas to inform my practice. I am especially passionate about CBT and its third wave approaches including ACT and Compassion Focused Therapy. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy) which can be helpful for addressing issues related to trauma.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
