About me

Reaching out for support can feel scary, and maybe you're telling yourself "my problems aren't bad enough" or "other people have it worse"?  Life can feel so messy and overwhelming sometimes. Maybe you're having difficulties with a specific issue, or are experiencing a more chronic feeling that something hasn't felt right for a while. This may look like feelings of emptiness, lack of purpose or low self-worth, anxiety or becoming easily overwhelmed by emotion and/or relationship difficulties. I have struggled too and been where you might be now; reading a hundred counsellor profiles and feeling unsure about sending that message; but counselling can help you make sense of things through gentle reflection and connection with someone who truly aims to understand your experience.

I have experience working with a wide range of issues, some of these include but are not limited to: Family Issues/Estrangement, Neurodivergence, Depression & anxiety, Suicidal thoughts, Trauma (inc. relational trauma/CPTSD), Low self-esteem, Gender Identity, Workplace Issues, Loneliness.

My relational approach means therapy is tailored to you as a unique individual. I offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space to explore past and present experiences. I believe healing happens through genuine connection and understanding, and I aim to walk alongside you toward self-awareness and renewed strength.

I offer face-to-face or online/phone counselling to adults on an individual basis.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained at the Sherwood Pschotherapy Training Institute in Nottingham, completing a BSc (Hons) in Humanistic & Integrative Counselling, accredited by Staffordshire University.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
