About me

I am am Integrative Person Centered Therapist, which means that I respect that you are the expert on you, I am here to listen and learn, reflect back to you and challenge limiting beliefs where necessary. I hold a safe, non-judgemental and curious space for you to explore what it is really like navigating the world as you.

Exploring personal themes in the context of a professional relationship can help ground you, reframe and shed a different light on problems. Using somatic connection and grounding techniques, we work safely at your pace to explore your past and present.

I enjoy working inclusively with a wide variety of client groups and welcome enquiries from all. I am a sex positive, neurodiverse mother to one child and three cats.

Supervision is a critical part of my professional development which enhances my work and self-reflection which I am regularly engaged in.   I have gained experience supporting people with a range of issues including  relationship issues and attachment,  anxiety, depression, sexual assault, low self-esteem, dysregulation, shame, loneliness ,trauma symptoms and navigating a complex world. During my hours in professional practise, what I have found that concerns us all is our relationships. Relationships to self, to food, to family, to place, to pets, to life and death -  it is all relational!  Therefore an authentic therapeutic relationship is central to what I offer. It is a place you can drop your mask and show up as your real self.

I honour the courage and bravery it can take to open up to someone new by seeking avenues that can grow our connection, and together we will navigate what feels safe to share at your pace.  By learning from you through deep listening, I can help guide you to meet other parts of yourself which are maybe less heard or seen, and help you to interpret and transform areas of stuck energy or emotion. As a trauma-informed therapist, I will meet you with flexibility and an open mind creating a supportive space with gentle kindness, curiosity and lightness. I will meet you wherever you may be,  whether that is in despair, in humour, chaos, discombobulation, confusion,  fear or sadness. All parts of you are welcomed with grace and deep care.

A twenty minute discovery call can help you decide if I am the counsellor for you on this stage of your life path. Email me or call to arrange a time or click on the available slot.

Based in Cornwall,  I provide in-person sessions, as well as offering home visits for certain client groups who may struggle to travel but who prefer face to face meetings. I offer online meetings and phone sessions for my clients in Cornwall and across the rest of the UK.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
