About me

A warm welcome to my listing here. I would like to offer you a confidential, non-judgmental and supportive space to explore what is troubling you.

I am an experienced psychotherapeutic counsellor with a BA (Hons) degree in Integrative Counselling.

I work with adults and young people who are at least 18 years old.

How are you feeling at the moment? I welcome anyone who might be feeling frightened and anxious, sad and depressed, overwhelmed and struggling to cope, hopeless, stuck, angry and frustrated, bereaved or suffering from loss. You might be having difficulties in your relationships or suffering from experiences of childhood emotional, physical or sexual trauma.

I see clients face-to-face in my private practice in Hastings or online. I work short-term or long-term depending on your needs. I am bound by the ethical and professional requirements of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy which includes my work being supervised by a qualified clinical supervisor.

What might our sessions look like?

They will last either 50 minutes or 1 hour long and normally take place on the same day once a week.

I charge £60 for 50 mins and £70 for 1 hour.

I will pay attention to your nervous system and can work with you on practical techniques to help with anxiety, panic attacks, depression and depressive episodes, outbursts of anger and phobias including OCD.

I will also be interested in the fear, sadness, shame and anger that lie underneath. I will be interested in all the different parts of your personality, your childhood, the stories about yourself told by yourself and others, your patterns of behaviour and what and who has influenced them.

I am a trauma-informed counsellor.

I will always be led by you.

Training, qualifications & experience

First class BA (HONS) in Integrative Relational Counselling - Middlesex University.

Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)

I did my degree placement and then worked after my graduation in a busy GP surgery in Surbiton.

I have volunteered with two charities supporting survivors of childhood sexual abuse - NAPAC and Aurora. I received ongoing training in working with trauma at both charities.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
