About me
I am an integrative counsellor working with adults, children and young people. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of good counselling, and I aim to create a space where you can feel safe, heard and accepted without judgement.
I have experience supporting people who have been affected by domestic abuse, both current and historic, as well as clients experiencing anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, loss and difficult life transitions. I have a particular interest in the emotional wellbeing of children and young people and have experience supporting children, parents and special guardians where family life, relationships or difficult experiences have become challenging.
I am particularly interested in the relationship between our psychological wellbeing and the environments in which we live and spend time. My own therapeutic practice is increasingly exploring the potential of nature and the ocean to support connection, emotional regulation and wellbeing. Alongside Blue Opal Counselling, I am developing and piloting Ocean Bridge Therapy, an emerging nature- and ocean-informed approach.
I believe therapy should be a collaborative process. Rather than assuming there is one way of working, I listen carefully to what you need and draw on different therapeutic approaches to help you make sense of your experiences and move towards meaningful change.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am an integrative counsellor with a BA (Hons) in Integrative Counselling and am currently completing an MSc in Psychology (Conversion). I draw on person-centred, relational, psychodynamic and CBT-informed approaches, working collaboratively and tailoring therapy to each individual.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

How I deliver therapy
I offer 60-minute counselling sessions, both face-to-face and online. I provide both short-term and longer-term therapeutic work, depending on your needs and what we agree together.
My approach is collaborative, flexible and individualised. I aim to create a safe, welcoming and non-judgemental space where you can explore what is happening for you at your own pace.
Alongside traditional counselling, I am developing nature- and ocean-informed therapeutic work, recognising the potential value of blue and natural spaces in supporting wellbeing. Where appropriate and within my professional scope, this may include outdoor, beach-based therapeutic work.
I work with adults, children and young people, adapting my approach to the individual rather than expecting you to fit a particular model of therapy.
