About me
I am a Systemic Psychotherapist based in Nottinghamshire, offering therapy for individuals and couples in person and online. I work with people experiencing anxiety, relationship difficulties, low mood, stress, and life transitions, as well as those who feel stuck in repeating patterns or unsure why things aren’t improving.
Systemic psychotherapy looks beyond symptoms to explore how difficulties are shaped by relationships, past experiences, and wider life context. Together, we identify patterns in how you think, feel, and relate to others, helping you develop new perspectives and more effective ways of responding.
I offer a calm, reflective, and non-judgemental space where you can explore what’s going on at your own pace. Whether you are coming as an individual or as a couple, we will work collaboratively to understand your situation and support meaningful, lasting change.
I have a particular interest in:
- Relationship and couple dynamics
- Anxiety within relational contexts
- Repeating emotional or behavioural patterns
- Life transitions and identity
My approach is grounded in the belief that change happens through understanding - not just of ourselves, but of the systems we are part of. The therapeutic relationship is an important part of this process, offering a space where different perspectives can emerge safely.
I offer sessions in Nottinghamshire and online across the UK.
If you are considering therapy, you are welcome to get in touch for an initial conversation to see if this way of working feels right for you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a UKCP-registered Systemic Family Psychotherapist with a background in social work, and I trained at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust. Alongside my private practice, I have over 5 years of experience working within the family justice system as a Family Court Advisor and Children’s Guardian with Cafcass, which has given me a strong understanding of the complexities families can face, particularly around separation and parent–child relationships. Over the years, I’ve worked with individuals, couples, and families experiencing a wide range of relational difficulties, and my approach is shaped by both my clinical training and my experience of working with people in often very challenging circumstances.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
