About me

Take a moment to pause, breathe and listen...what do you hear? Is your mind cluttered with racing thoughts that make your world feel chaotic; encroaching on your life and stopping you from moving forward? Do you feel the heavy weight of past difficulties holding you back and interfering with your personal or work relationships? Maybe a complicated or distressing bereavement has left you with intense and confusing feelings that you are struggling to understand. Sometimes we can cope with challenging life events, other times they grind us down leaving us feel feeling alone in our struggle. Counselling can help.

I offer a space for you to pause so that we can talk through your difficulties, think about your experiences, contemplate what they mean to you and find a way forward. I welcome whatever issues you wish to bring, explored at your place. A background in nursing underpins my rigorous counselling training which gives me a unique insight of the interaction between physical and emotional well-being.

Whatever your reason for looking for someone to talk to, you have taken the difficult first step. I understand that making changes can seem daunting and it is completely normal to feel this way. If you're feeling vulnerable, apprehensive or frustrated, then trusting a counsellor with your thoughts and feelings takes time and courage. I am patient and compassionate and do my utmost to make you feel welcome and safe, enabling you to get the most from counselling.

Email or call me if you have any questions or would like to arrange an initial consultation. This comes with no obligation to commit and is an opportunity to see if my approach suits you.
