About me
Hello.
I’m a professionally qualified and BACP Registered, Humanistic Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. I offer psychotherapeutic counselling for individual adults, in a safe, professional and confidential space. In-person therapy is via my private practice in Horsham. Online video and telephone sessions are available via multiple platforms.
You might be looking into counselling because a specific issue is causing you difficulty, pain or suffering. Alternatively, perhaps it’s a more general sense of unease, distress or conflict you’re facing. A sense that 'something isn't quite right'. Maybe you want deeper understanding; that of yourself, as well as your relating with others and the world around you. Integration and unification may seem salient; a process of Self-Actualisation and Individuation. Whatever you bring, I strive to offer an accepting and supportive environment, where the pace and depth in which we work is fundamentally of your choosing and invitational.
What else to expect -
I will pay close attention to what you might need from our work together, doing my utmost to 'walk alongside you' in understanding, exploration and support. Acknowledging with regard and respect your experiences, thoughts, feelings and memories. Those of your present, as well as those past. Attentive and responsive to such, as well as the relating taking place between us. Inviting the 'whole of your experience', we might explore possibilities and potentialities by way of a deepening awareness, fuller experiencing, sense and meaning-making.
I believe the Psychotherapeutic Relationship is a collaborative one. A relationship that facilitates and nurtures our meeting and connecting. Supporting us to develop ways of working together that further your life in the direction you wish.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Fee structure
- My standard rate is £50 - £65 per 50 minute session. This is a sliding scale based on what's affordable for you and agreed upon in our initial session. Weekly sessions as customary.
Concessionary or lowered negotiated rates (dependant on circumstances) are available. This can also be discussed in our initial session.
Initial Session
- £35 for our initial session, which is a reduced rate for a full 50 minute session.
An initial session is the opportunity to discuss what brings you to counselling, as well as getting a sense of how we might work together and if you want to.
These sessions are available in-person, online or over the telephone. Please feel free to contact me to arrange this or if you have any questions on how we might work together.
