About me
Counselling is a voyage of perspective, and talking therapies explore, test, and broaden your worldview while also creating room for fresh viewpoints. This process can help you see things more clearly and present chances for personal development and transformation in areas where you may have previously felt trapped or overwhelmed.
I am a psychotherapist passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges and rediscover their inner strength and resilience. Life can feel overwhelming at times, but you don’t have to face it alone. I am able to offer Person-Centred Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I offer a safe and supportive space for you to explore your feelings, untangle your thoughts, and work towards meaningful, lasting change.
In our sessions, you’ll find a warm and non-judgmental environment where you can show up exactly as you are. Using the empathic approach of person-centred therapy, we’ll work to uncover your unique strengths, values, and insights. With CBT, we’ll explore patterns of thinking or behaviour that may feel like roadblocks, equipping you with practical tools to move forward with clarity and confidence. In addition, I have worked within the Muslim community, offering Islamic marriage counselling, Islamic coaching (before marriage), allowing you a secure environment without being judged.
I work with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including navigating life transitions, relationship difficulties, stress, low self-esteem, grief, trauma, and feelings of uncertainty or disconnection. Whatever is weighing on your mind, I’m here to support you as you make sense of your experiences and find a way forward that feels right for you.
Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you—you’re not broken. It’s about giving you the space and support to uncover your true self, rewrite the stories that no longer serve you, and take steps toward the life you truly want to live.
Together, we can transform the challenges you’re facing into opportunities for healing and growth. Your journey matters, and I’d be honored to walk it with you. Let’s start building the life you deserve—one step at a time.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have qualified as a Psychotherapist with Salford University and hope to finish my dissertation this year so that I can receive a master's in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have also been teaching for over 20 years as a teacher of Psychology working with 16-19-year-olds. I have mentored trainee teachers and ECTs and currently mark for AQA.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
Seeking counselling can be a difficult decision but people seek counselling for a variety of reasons. You may be seeking it because you are feeling overburdened, tense, trapped, or concerned about something in your life, or you may simply be unable to cope and know that something has to change. I can offer assistance and direction in the areas of emotional recovery, development, and transformation.
How Can I Help You?
Previously, I have assisted clients with anxiety-related problems, depressive symptoms, bereavement, significant life transitions, attachment disorders, and low self-esteem. I have also worked with women who have left violent relationships. I have helped married couples, especially within the Muslim community. I am here to help you make sense of what is going on, investigate the emotional and psychological consequences, and figure out a course of action whether you are having problems in your friendships, family relationships, or intimate partnership.
I also have experience and additional training in individuals who have lost a limb and currently volunteer in the NHS supporting these individuals. I've also provided bereavement counselling, so I am aware of the particular difficulties that each person experiences when they experience loss and grief.
