About me

I am a qualified and experienced counsellor, relationship therapist, and registered midwife, offering specialist therapeutic support throughout the perinatal journey and beyond.

Pregnancy, birth, loss, and early parenthood can be some of the most profound - and sometimes overwhelming - experiences of our lives. Alongside joy, they can bring grief, trauma, relationship strain, identity shifts, and deep emotional pain. You do not have to navigate that alone.

I offer individual therapy, relationship therapy, birth trauma therapy, birth debriefs, and grief therapy, with particular expertise in pregnancy and baby loss, including compassionate termination.

Alongside my perinatal specialism, I have extensive experience supporting clients with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, and major life transitions. Many of the people I work with are navigating complex emotional landscapes -whether linked to parenthood or not -and are seeking a space where they can feel safe enough to explore what is really going on beneath the surface.

My work is centred on creating a calm, steady, and non-judgemental space where you feel genuinely heard and understood. Whether you are coming as an individual or as a couple, I will meet you with warmth, compassion, and respect. Together, we can gently make sense of your experiences, process difficult emotions, and move towards healing in a way that feels manageable and empowering.

As both a therapist and a midwife, I bring a rare depth of understanding to the emotional and relational challenges that can arise across pregnancy and early parenthood - from traumatic birth experiences and pregnancy after loss, to adjustment to parenthood and the impact of grief on relationships. I understand both the clinical realities and the deeply personal impact of these experiences, while also supporting clients through wider struggles such as anxiety, depression, identity shifts, and significant life change.

Wherever you are in your journey, support is available. Healing is possible. And you deserve a space where your story matters.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

Depression & Anxiety
Depression, fear, and anxiety are among the most common and distressing emotions people experience at different points in life. Through counselling, you can begin to better understand yourself, explore underlying causes, and develop tools to manage these feelings with greater confidence and self-compassion.

Birth Trauma & PTSD
As a midwife, I specialise in offering trauma-informed therapy following traumatic pregnancy or birth experiences. Many individuals experience ongoing anxiety, fear, or distress after trauma. I provide a safe, supportive space to process these experiences, support healing, and work towards recovery at your own pace.

Grief & Baby Loss
Being a midwife means witnessing both profound joy and devastating loss. I offer compassionate bereavement support to individuals, couples, and families navigating grief following the loss of a baby. Therapy can provide a space to honour your experience, process your emotions, and feel less alone during an incredibly difficult time.

Eating Disorders
As a counsellor, I have supported many individuals experiencing or recovering from eating disorders. As a midwife, I am particularly passionate about raising awareness of eating disorders during pregnancy and the perinatal period, offering sensitive, non-judgemental support across the reproductive journey.

Online Counselling
Online counselling can support individuals and couples seeking to strengthen emotional connection or navigate life’s challenges. Sessions are held via Zoom, allowing you to access therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own home at a time that works for you.

Perinatal Mental Health Support
As both an experienced midwife and counsellor, I am uniquely placed to offer specialist therapy for a wide range of perinatal concerns. This includes anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, eating disorders, fertility challenges, feeding difficulties, and adjustment to parenthood. Support is available for individuals, couples, and groups.
