About me
Welcome
I am a humanistic creative arts therapist.
BA(Hons) humanistic counselling practice - Nottingham University
The roots of my practice stem from my belief that a caring, non-judgemental attitude in a safe space is core to nurturing mental wellbeing. I have over 10 years experience therapeutically helping adults and young people 13+. I align therapy to your strengths and interests and can bring my love of folklore, nature and creativity into our work. Neurodiverse are welcome. Counselling is held online or in person.
Trainee counsellor discount available.
Life can be a puzzle, unfair and sometimes we struggle; and that's ok. Therapy can help.
We can't always change what's going on, we can always change how we respond.
I work with anxiety, grief, trauma, over stimulation, anger, low self-esteem, relationships, life transitions and mental health regulation.
Untangling lives and emotions is a complex unique process; therapy can empower you in creating a way forward which is meaningful and right for you.
As a professional creative arts therapist I offer therapy through conversation and/or creativity. One to one conversation enables thoughts and feelings to be voiced and truly heard. Saying what needs to be said, facing what needs to be faced takes courage. Moving at your pace, we make sense of your world.
Creative practice can be soothing with the potential to bring forward that which is out of awareness. No creative skills are required. Creative process is part of the therapy. I do not analyse creative pieces, I do guide you in realising your own meaning.
In person sessions are in a dedicated counselling room. The space has a calm, safe vibe allowing difficult issues to be brought, processed and held with compassion and care.
Whether you are here for yourself, or are a parent/carer concerned for a young person, please send me a message and I shall reply within 48 hours. I offer online sessions to all 13+, and in person from DE73 to those 16+.
