About us
A warm welcome from myself, Sam Howell (she/her). I am a Person-Centred Creative Arts Counsellor and person-centred psychotherapist. I work with adults and young people age 13+ both online and in person. I regularly work with those who are neurodivergent.
As a psychotherapist, I believe a nonjudgmental unconditional attitude which is genuine and understanding is core to creating opportunities for psychological growth. Non-directivity is at the heart of my work.
For some individuals, I find working closely with creative arts is helpful. Often, that which is hard to verbalise can be externalised in art form. Connecting through image creates unique magical moments where opportunity for increased self-awareness takes place.
For others, creating opportunities to verbally explore emotions, lived experience and expectations increases insight and wellbeing.
Whatever unique approach to therapy we take, trust and a strong friendly rapport are the bedrock that supports your journey, and it is these qualities I bring to working with adults and young people.
Whether you are here for yourself, or on behalf of a young person please pop me an email and I shall reply within 48hours. I have chosen not to list areas I work with here, as I work with you, the person with whatever you choose to bring.
