About me

I am not your average therapist.

I believe healing doesn’t only happen across from each other in a therapy room. Sometimes it happens while walking side by side, sitting quietly in nature, or even standing together in the water. Wherever we meet, my intention is the same: to create a space where you can reconnect with yourself and remember the wisdom of your own heart.

My work is an invitation to listen deeply to the parts of you that have been silenced, dismissed, shamed, or misunderstood. The loud parts. The tender parts. The angry parts. The frightened parts. The parts that have been told they are “too much,” “too loud,” or “too small.” I believe every part of you has a voice worth hearing and a story worth understanding.

I do not approach therapy from a place of having all the answers. I meet people as a fellow human being who understands that life can be complicated, painful, and messy. My own experiences, including my relationship with alcohol and the challenges that have shaped me, allow me to sit with others in a way that is honest and without judgment.

I am comfortable in the darker places of human experience. I do not rush to fix, rescue, or turn away from discomfort. Instead, I invite you to sit in your darkness with me, knowing that it does not define you and that you do not have to face it alone.

Together, we can create space for curiosity, compassion, grief, joy, truth, and transformation. My hope is not to help you become someone else, but to support you in coming home to who you already are.

If this way of working resonates with you, I would be honoured to walk alongside you.

Training, qualifications & experience

In addition to my professional journey, my role as a father navigating the aftermath of my past and rebuilding relationships has profoundly shaped my practice. This experience has given me a deep, compassionate understanding of the shadows addiction casts, not only on the individual, but also on family and friends. It has shown me how recovery is not a solitary process, but one that ripples outward, touching everyone connected to the person in struggle. This perspective strengthens my empathy and informs the way I hold space for both individuals and their wider support networks.

My passion lies in breaking down the stigma that surrounds addiction, whether gambling, sex, alcohol, or other substances. I bring not only professional competence but also a lived understanding of how shame and silence can perpetuate cycles of harm. I believe my own recovery journey, combined with my role as both a practitioner and a father, has given me a unique ability to connect with people in their most vulnerable moments, while my training has equipped me to respond with skill, presence, and professionalism. I am also trained in auricular acupuncture and work closely with the power of your breath to reconnect body and mind.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

I want to make therapy as accessible as possible. I start at £30 for a full hour. As stated, I can facilitate auricular (ear) acupuncture and breath work sessions.
