About me
As a qualified counsellor with extensive experience in listening and caring roles, I am dedicated to supporting the well-being and personal growth of my clients. My approach centres on providing a compassionate, non-judgmental space where individuals feel safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, and challenges. With a deep understanding of how to foster positive change, I am committed to helping clients navigate life's complexities and work toward meaningful growth in their personal and emotional lives.
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained at Peter Symonds College, in partnership with Middlesex University, and have gained a solid foundation in humanistic counselling, focusing on Transactional Analysis.
Qualifications:
- Level 2 Counselling Skills
- Level 3 Counselling
- Transactional Analysis 101
- Foundation Degree in Humanistic Counselling based on Transactional Analysis.
- Certificate in animal-assisted therapy.
Alongside my formal training, I have gained over 100 hours of counselling experience through a volunteer placement at a dedicated counselling service. I also volunteer with Simon Says, a child bereavement charity, providing emotional support to children and families coping with loss. For over two years, I have offered emotional support to children, parents, and staff in a school setting, creating a safe and nurturing space where individuals feel comfortable expressing their emotions and addressing their challenges. I can also offer animal-assisted therapy with a calm horse or my cocker spaniel.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Additional information
Each session lasts for fifty minutes, with a fee of £55 per session. The total number of sessions will depend on the issues you wish to explore and the pace at which you feel comfortable progressing. During our initial meetings, we can discuss what feels right for you, and we will regularly review our arrangement to ensure it continues to meet your needs. When the time feels right for either of us, we can talk about concluding our work together. Ideally, we will work towards a planned ending, allowing time to reflect on the progress made, insights gained, and strategies for continuing your personal growth beyond our sessions.
