BA (Hons) Integrative-Relational Psychotherapy
Walton-On-Thames KT12 & Kingston Upon Thames KT2

About me

I am a BACP registered counsellor with experience working with adults of all ages who are feeling overwhelmed or struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, or significant life transitions. You may be feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure why things feel so hard right now. I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and begin to make sense of what you’re experiencing.

I am a relational therapist and my work is grounded in the belief that feeling safe and understood within the therapeutic relationship is central to meaningful change. I take an integrative approach that is trauma-informed and attachment-focused, allowing therapy to be tailored to your individual needs while exploring how past and present relationships may be impacting you today.

I have many years of experience working within the NHS, supporting individuals and families through complex and emotionally demanding periods. This includes working with people during the transition to parenthood and supporting antenatal and postnatal difficulties such as fertility issues, birth trauma and loss, postnatal depression and anxiety.

I offer long-term and short-term therapy, depending on what you're looking for. This is either from my private home therapy room in Walton on Thames, from therapy rooms in Kingston or online, offering flexibility and choice.

If you’re considering counselling and wondering whether it might be right for you, I’m happy to have an initial conversation to see if working together feels like a good fit.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a BACP registered counsellor with a degree in Integrative Relational Psychotherapy. I have worked as a counsellor in a GP practice and in the charity sector as well as in private practice.

I have undertaken additional training around trauma and CPTSD, attachment, Parent-Infant relationships, Transactional Analysis and Mindfulness.

I also have many years experience working in the NHS with parents and families, using various therapeutic approaches and interventions including Circle of Security Parenting and Video Interactive Guidance (VIG)

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
