About me

Not everyone arrives in therapy knowing exactly what they need — and that’s okay. I’m an integrative therapist who believes that our behaviours, patterns, and relationships all make sense when we take the time to understand where they come from.

I enjoy working collaboratively with people to gently explore the “why” behind what they do — whether that’s getting stuck in unhelpful cycles, repeating relationship patterns, or feeling disconnected from themselves. My aim isn’t to “fix” you (because you’re not broken), but to help you build deeper insight, self-awareness, and a stronger sense of choice in how you move forward.

I have a particular interest in working with relationship difficulties — whether that’s romantic relationships, family dynamics, or more importantly the  often-complex relationship we have with ourselves.

Alongside my private work, I am a Clinical Nurse Specialist working within an NHS Eating Disorders Service. I have worked as a Nurse in various specialities for over 17 years, and I have a wealth of experience dealing with the human condition.  My true passion in life is helping to support people with complex, long-term difficulties and understanding the interplay between physical health, emotional wellbeing, and behaviour.

My style is warm, curious, and down-to-earth. I’m not afraid to gently challenge where it might be helpful, but always with compassion and respect. Therapy with me is a space where you can make sense of things at your own pace — with someone alongside you who is genuinely interested in understanding your world.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am dual trained as a registered Counsellor and registered Nurse.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
