About me

As a BACP registered Integrative Counsellor (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), I specialise in supporting men’s mental health and emotional wellbeing, helping them navigate the unique personal and professional challenges they face. Through my private practice, MENSCAPE, I am dedicated to helping young and adult men thrive by offering tailored therapeutic support designed to address the specific pressures they encounter, including:

  • Workplace demands
  • Fatherhood
  • Educational and career attainment
  • Personal relationships
  • Domestic Abuse
  • Complex family dynamics
  • Major life transitions
  • Separation and divorce
  • Fatherhood and child contact
  • Financial stress
  • Loss and bereavement
  • Social isolation
  • Addictions

At MENSCAPE, I take a holistic and integrative approach, utilising both traditional counselling and therapeutic coaching. This allows me to address not only emotional and psychological needs but also practical concerns, equipping clients with the tools and strategies they need for personal growth and positive change. Whether it’s navigating career stress, improving relationships, managing mental health, or coping with loss, I offer a safe and supportive space for men to explore their challenges and improve their overall emotional wellbeing.

My experience as a Perpetrator Intervention Specialist (Domestic Abuse) is embedded within MENSCAPE’s approach to supporting men who face challenges related to domestic abuse. This background allows me to work with clients on addressing harmful behaviours, fostering accountability, and promoting personal transformation. MENSCAPE provides tailored therapeutic interventions that help men break destructive patterns, develop healthier relationship dynamics, and take responsibility for positive change in their lives.

I also bring extensive experience from my work in the criminal justice system, where I have supported individuals in Youth Offending, Probation and Prison settings. This background has provided me with deeper insight into the diverse issues men face, particularly those from marginalised or disadvantaged backgrounds. MENSCAPE is uniquely positioned to support men from all walks of life, helping them develop resilience, build emotional intelligence, and create lasting, positive change.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
