About me

Whether you are navigating the heavy fog of grief or the long-term effects of trauma, I offer a therapeutic relationship built on warmth, safety, without judgment. My approach is person-centred, which means we work at your nervous system’s pace.

I understand that trauma and loss don’t happen in a vacuum—they impact your work, your relationships, and your sense of self.

Specialist Experience: Beyond my private practice, I have extensive experience working with survivors of historical sexual abuse and providing specialist grief support. I am here to help you move from 'surviving' back into 'living,' in a way that feels authentic to you.

I offer a free 20-minute introductory call to see if we feel like a good fit. I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.

Current Professional Development

Brainspotting Practitioner (In Training): Phase 1 achieved

Currently advancing my practice into Brainspotting, a neurobiological tool used to identify and process deep-seated trauma held within the body and nervous system.

What is Brainspotting?

Brainspotting is a focused therapeutic approach that helps people process and release the emotional impact of difficult or overwhelming experiences. It works by identifying specific eye positions (“brainspots”) that are connected to unprocessed trauma, stress, or emotional pain stored in the brain and body.

During a Brainspotting session, we work together to find a point in your visual field that connects with what you are experiencing internally. By gently holding attention on this point, the brain’s natural ability to process and heal can be activated. This can help reduce distress and support deeper emotional processing, often beyond what talking alone can reach.

Brainspotting can be helpful for trauma, anxiety, stress, and other emotionally challenging experiences. Sessions are led at your pace, with an emphasis on safety, attunement, and your nervous system’s capacity to process.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
