About me
I believe in the healing power of love and self-compassion. At the heart of my practice is the belief that healing begins with acceptance. I provide a supportive space where together we can explore some of the barriers that stand in the way of a more fulfilling life, opening up to new possibilities for growth and connection.
My focus is not only on what is expressed in words but also on what the body holds -often quietly- of old beliefs, experiences and expectations.
I offer a space for a trusting, mutual relationship where honest and respectful dialogue can take place, and where anger, grief, pain, joy and pride can be honoured.
My consulting room is in SW12 in the Balham / Clapham area (very close to SW11 & SW17) and in the West End (W1G), where I offer long and short-term counselling & psychotherapy, in person and online, in English or in Italian.
Registered with Axa, Aviva, Bupa.
What are the sessions about?
The first session is an initial assessment to explore what has brought you to therapy.and what you would like to achieve. You can tell me about yourself and see how I work to see if you and I are a good match in therapy.
Sessions last 50 minutes and are scheduled at a regular time weekly. I have regular reviews to establish how the therapy is going for you, and whether it matches your expectations.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a UKCP accredited Gestalt psychotherapist and a BACP counsellor. Through a relational and trauma-informed approach, I aim to support you gaining greater awareness of yourself. Increasing awareness often gives us more choice, leading to a more fulfilling and satisfying life.
I believe that as human beings we have the necessary abilities to face challenges. However, when something interrupts this process, often during childhood, we get stuck in some fixed patterns of behaviour and beliefs about ourselves. As a Gestalt therapist, through the exploration of how past events are experienced in the present, I aim to raise your awareness of the barriers that stand in the way of a more fulfilling life, opening up to new possibilities for growth and connection.
I have vast experience working privately and within the NHS with stress, anxiety, depression, relationship and life crises and with people experiencing mental health difficulties.
I am a registered member of UKCP & BACP.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

"La terapia è un viaggio alla scoperta di sè. Non è un viaggio rapido, nè facile e neanche privo di paure...ma la ricompensa è il sentimento che la vita non sia passata invano." (A.Lowen)
