About me
Hello, I'm Rosie!
I am a person centred/client led counsellor working with individuals, couples and young people. I offer in person sessions from Middlewich or Crewe as well as virtual or telephone.
Within our sessions I may draw on a range of techniques and types of therapy so that you get the best from our time together. My main aim is that you feel safe and comfortable enough to talk about your experiences, share your story, explore your feelings and work through what's going on for you with empathy and without judgment. I believe passionately that talking really does help.
The first step:
I absolutely understand that there are all sorts of feelings that may come up for you before beginning your counselling journey but once you've made the initial contact with me I will get in touch via email and offer a free brief chat on the phone as a chance to say hello, see if we are a good match and ask any questions about how I work. We can discuss how therapy might work for you and book your session.
Please include a telephone number in any enquiries and check your spam folders for my email! I will always try to get back to you within 24 hours.
Training, qualifications & experience
Qualifications:
- MSc Counselling with Psychotherapy
- PGCE Primary Education
- Certificate in Counselling
I am trained as a person centred counsellor (BACP accredited) so work in a very client led way. My previous role as a teacher gives me an insight into working with young people with a variety of needs as well as a real understanding of the stress of working a high pressured job! I also have a strong understanding of school systems and supporting parents who may be going through the challenges (and joys) of supporting their own little ones with additional needs or the process/journey of a diagnosis.
I also volunteer with a charity and with this have experience of working with childhood trauma and exploring how your past might be affecting the here and now.
I work with a variety of issues including but not limited to:
- grief/loss
- anxiety/stress/burnout
- trauma/childhood trauma
- depression/low mood
- relationship issues
- eating disorders/disordered eating
- body image/self esteem
As someone who has recently been diagnosed with ADHD I am extremely passionate about supporting people with undiagnosed/late diagnosed ADHD/Autism (especially women). Together we can explore what this might mean to you and how to navigate it.
