About me

Life doesn't always unfold as we expect. Sometimes we're faced with experiences that leave us feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, anxious or unsure of who we are anymore. Whether you're coping with trauma, recovering from sexual violence, struggling with burnout or stress, or simply trying to navigate one of life's unexpected twists and turns, you don't have to do it alone.

Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting. You may be wondering whether therapy is right for you, or whether your difficulties are "serious enough". Whatever has brought you here, you are welcome exactly as you are.

I offer a warm, compassionate and confidential space where you can talk freely without fear of judgement. My role isn't to tell you what to do, but to walk alongside you as we explore what's happening for you, helping you make sense of your experiences and discover a way forward that feels right for you.

Originally trained in Person-Centred Counselling, I now work integratively, drawing on different therapeutic approaches to meet your individual needs. I believe that every person is unique, and therapy should reflect that. Together we'll work at your pace, in a way that feels safe, collaborative and respectful.

I have particular experience supporting people who have experienced trauma, including sexual violence, as well as those living with stress, burnout and the emotional impact of life's challenges and transitions. Whether your experiences are recent or something you've carried for many years, you deserve a space where your story is heard with care and without judgement.

People often come to counselling believing they need to have everything figured out before they begin. In reality, you don't need to know where to start—that's something we can discover together. My aim is to create a relationship where you feel listened to, understood and accepted, because I believe that feeling genuinely seen is often where healing begins. People often tell me they're surprised by how quickly they feel comfortable enough to share things they've never spoken about before. I believe that when you feel genuinely heard, accepted and understood, meaningful change becomes possible.

I work both online and in person, offering flexibility to fit around your life and what feels most comfortable for you.

Finding the right counsellor is an important decision, and it's okay to take your time. If something in what you've read resonates with you, I'd be delighted to hear from you. We can have an initial conversation to answer any questions you may have and see whether working together feels like the right fit.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
