About me
We all have times when life feels overwhelming, and trying to make sense of things on your own can be really hard.
As a humanistic counsellor, I offer the time and space to safely explore what's going on for you and tailor my approach to your unique needs. Together, we can make sense of patterns in your thoughts and emotions, and build an understanding of what’s going on beneath the surface.
As your self-awareness grows, so does your ability to recognise what triggers you - whether it be anxiety, depression, or that sense of it all being too much - and interrupt those patterns before they take hold. It doesn’t happen overnight, and it doesn’t need to. But many people find that, over time, what once felt overwhemling shifts from something that controls them to something they can understand and move through. That can feel like a genuine shift towards feeling more grounded, more resilient and more like yourself again.
I have experience in supporting clients through a wide range of challenges, including:
- Understanding and resolving anxiety and depression
- Resolving traumas (both recent and historic)
- Coming to terms with grief and loss
- Navigating relationship difficulties
- Developing a resilient sense of self
- Supporting life transitions.
Neurodiversity
As part of a neurodiverse family (autism, AuDHD, ADHD), I am familiar with the joys and the challenges of living with neurodiversity.
You might feel exhausted from masking at work or in social settings. You might struggle with anxiety or emotional overwhelm linked to sensory overload, or from feeling judged or misunderstood.
Whatever might be going on for you, I aim to build a safe, supportive environment that takes into account your own neurodiverse needs.
Testimonial
“Rosanne has been absolutely amazing from the very beginning. She’s helped me feel comfortable and supported, especially as I’ve navigated my recent neurodivergent diagnosis. Her understanding and guidance have not only helped me better understand myself but have also improved my relationship with my partner and everyone around me.” Client J

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
