About me
Feeling that anxious pit in your stomach every night, or just have no motivation? If the thought of tomorrow fills you with dread, therapy can help ease your mind, manage stress, and bring peace back into your life.
Are you constantly overthinking and worst-case scenario thinking, with even small decisions or situations spiralling into overwhelming "what if" thoughts? Do you have physical symptoms of anxiety or depression, such as racing heart, tight chest, trouble sleeping, and fatigue, often without an obvious cause? Do you avoid and fear judgment, dodging social situations, work challenges, or even errands due to fear of failure, embarrassment, or criticism?
Counselling isn’t just me listening to your problems. Together we will find practical solutions to make you feel better.
Counselling can be a game-changer for someone with anxiety. Here’s how it helps:
- Breaks the worry loop – I can help you spot unhelpful thought patterns and teach you how to reframe them, so your mind doesn’t default to panic or worst-case scenarios.
- Builds coping tools – You’ll learn techniques like breathing exercises, mindfulness, grounding, or cognitive-behavioral strategies that give you more control when anxiety hits.
- Creates a safe space – Talking through fears with someone who gets it, without judgment, can reduce shame and isolation, making anxiety feel less powerful.
- Targets root causes – Therapy can explore underlying triggers (past experiences, trauma, perfectionism), helping you understand why anxiety shows up and how to shift long-term patterns.
- Boosts confidence – As you build skills and gain insight, you feel more equipped to face challenges instead of avoiding them.
I started my private practice because I saw how debilitating anxiety and depression can be in people’s lives. Whether this started with workplace bullying, worry about a key event in life, health issues, loss of a job, or simply getting to a point in life where you just don’t know where to turn next, it is possible to take back some control and feel better.
With 16 years of experience working in leadership roles, supporting large numbers of staff, I’ve seen how the barriers of anxiety and depression can seriously affect daily life. As a therapist, I have helped many clients take back control of their thinking, and lead more fulfilling lives, with contentment and positivity. I’d love to help you too. I am a fully qualified and registered counsellor with BACP and NCPS.
So please get in touch to book and introductory call, or message me for an introductory session, so we can assess how we might work together. Take the first step – I look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
