About me

I am a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor trained at the Metanoia Institute in London. I work relationally and developmentally; building a strong therapeutic relationship and exploring together what affects you in your present and where it may have started in your past. I aim to acknowledge the impact of past decisions and events, whilst working on ways to let them go if they are no longer helpful.

I believe the therapeutic space and relationship are invaluable to understanding ourselves better, and I offer an open, non-judgmental space for you to explore issues affecting your life.

Before training in psychotherapy, I worked in a corporate environment managing, developing and interacting with a wide variety of people. My joy in this career was understanding and developing those around me whilst working within a team to build and develop ideas into fully realised projects. This love of people and their stories led me to psychotherapy where I found my passion to work with people outside of the corporate world on finding the best version of themselves.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor and training to be a psychotherapist in Transactional Analysis.

I am a qualified member of the BACP and adhere to their ethical codes and professional practice.

I have worked with a variety of clients from different socio-economic backgrounds and presentations.

I have experience working with childhood trauma, surviving PTSD, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, eating disorders, workplace struggles, relationship difficulty and the challenges of parenting amongst many more.

I believe that learning in life never ends and I attend CPD events, conferences and further training, as well as keeping up to date on current developments in the psychotherapy world, to keep myself learning and informed.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
