Richard Parrott, BA (Hons), Dip Couns, Registered MBACP.
49 Queen Victoria Street
I am a qualified and experienced Counsellor and Psychotherapist and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I currently have availability in the evenings in the City.
Choosing a therapist and beginning talking therapy can be a daunting task. There are so many different types of training, accrediting organisations, theories and modalities. There are as many types of counsellor as there are counsellors. We'll all be a little different and won't all be the right fit for you. With this in mind, I welcome you to get in touch with any questions you may have via phone or email and I also offer an initial session for £30 so that you can get a feel for the process and for what it will be like to work with me.
Life doesn’t always go according to plan. There may be a crisis that knocks us off track or a familiar pattern that recurs over and over again and leaves us feeling like we’re back at square one. Sometimes we find ourselves stuck and just can’t move forward. Other times, we feel like we’re not ourselves or that we’ve lost our way or our sense of who we are. We might talk to those around us but somehow it’s difficult to find the words or to be heard. Or perhaps you recognise that they have their own worries and you don't want to be a burden. If any of this sounds familiar then counselling might be for you.
