About me
Hello, my name is Richard and thank you for looking at my profile. I am a qualified integrative counsellor which means I have trained in different schools of therapy, such as Person Centered, Psychodynamic, CBT, Solution Focused Therapy and Transactional Analysis to create a blended and bespoke model for my clients. I understand that each individual's journey is unique and therapy should reflect this. Like a mosaic it is only when we step back that we can see the whole picture and make changes in our lives. Sometimes we need a helping hand and a listening ear to take us on that journey. I began my journey in therapy as a client, having gone through my own struggles and needing the safe, non judgmental space to work through the complicated thoughts and feelings of my fragmented life. That same safety is what I want to offer you and all my clients. Together, we'll work to understand your unique challenges, identify your goals, work through past traumas and events or find the most effective strategies to help you overcome the feelings that hold you back.
I aim to create a warm, safe and non judgmental environment where you can feel heard and supported, because that is what you deserve. Together we can explore the puzzle of both the here and now feelings and events but also the past events that shaped your present circumstances, aiming to tie these together and build skills to build inner strength and resolve to go forward independently.
Thank you for considering taking this step with me—I look forward to supporting you on your journey.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
