About me
Anxiety can leave you feeling crippled with self-doubt, constantly questioning your decisions, worrying you've done something wrong, or bracing for criticism that never quite comes. Even when life looks "fine" from the outside, your mind keeps scanning: Did I say too much? Did I miss something? Am I in trouble? It’s exhausting, and over time, it can quietly erode your confidence and sense of self.
For many people, this kind of anxiety is rooted in emotionally manipulative or invalidating relationships where your needs were dismissed, your boundaries weren’t respected, or you were made to feel like you were the problem. Whether it was a parent, a partner, or a professional dynamic, the impact doesn’t disappear just because it’s over. It lingers in the nervous system, in how you relate to others, and in the way you talk to yourself.
I bring both personal and professional experience to this work. Having navigated anxiety and emotional abuse in my own life, I understand how these patterns can take hold and how disorienting it can be to untangle them. That lived experience, combined with years of clinical training, means I meet my clients with both compassion and clarity. I know what it’s like to live in survival mode, and I know how powerful it can be to start living differently.
As someone with ADHD, I also understand how easy it is to internalise the idea that you’re too much, too sensitive, or somehow wrong. These experiences shape how you show up in the world but they don't have to define you.
My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, relational, and somatic, drawing on EMDR, nervous system healing, and a pace that honours where you are.
Together we’ll explore:
- How anxiety shows up in your body and how to soothe it
- Rebuilding your sense of self after emotional abuse or control
- Creating boundaries without guilt or fear
- Moving from hypervigilance to calm
- Cultivating self-trust after years of self-doubt
If any part of this resonates, I invite you to reach out and book a free call.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
