About me
I am an experienced HCPC Registered Clinical Psychologist working in the NHS and in the private sector. I am a trauma informed therapist, recognising that many people are trying their best to cope and live with the difficult life experiences they have been through. I understand the importance of the therapeutic relationship in finding a ‘good fit’ with a therapist. I enjoy working collaboratively and creatively with individuals and have experience in working with people with mild to severe mental health difficulties including anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, psychosis and personality difficulties. I have an interest in working with people with complex and childhood trauma.
I categorise myself as an integrative therapist, drawing on a range of approaches, including CBT, CFT, ACT and EMDR. I am also an Accredited DBT Therapist, an evidence based intervention for individuals who have difficulties with emotion regulation and may use unhelpful behaviours to cope (e.g. self harm, violence, drugs and alcohol, etc).
Being able to trust someone and discuss your thoughts, feelings and experiences can be challenging and I aim to provide a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space so that we can work together to address your difficulties. Please feel free to contact me to discuss a session.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
