About me
Hello and welcome.
As a qualified psychotherapist based in Sale and Altrincham, I am passionate about helping people to become the best version of themselves and believe talking really does help. I provide a warm, supportive and human approach to helping you navigate your trauma, worries and stress. I aim to provide you with the tools to move through any pain and distress.
I have supported clients with a range of issues including anxiety, stress, trauma, bereavement, OCD, substance abuse, sexual abuse, physical abuse, relationship issues and life transitions like pregnancy, infertility, perimenopause and menopause. I have a particular interest in women's mental health especially during the big life transitions.
As a previous therapy client myself, I know only too well how holding on to your anxiety and stress can take its toll mentally but also physically on your body. Equally, I understand how beneficial it is to find someone who can listen without judgment and hold you when you are struggling to hold yourself. Having someone willing you to feel the best you can and believe in you can be magic.
I appreciate how daunting it can be to reach out to a stranger and I always aim to ensure the journey with me is stress-free and open. This is your time and space.
I offer one to one face to face, online and telephone appointments in Sale and Altrincham. I also offer a free introductory consultation to all new clients to enable you to decide whether I am someone you would like to talk to.
I qualified from the University of Salford with a PG(Dip) in Counselling and Psychotherapy and I am registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
