About me

I'm here to help you work through the emotion your feeling, and to support you with feeling better, as the counselling process takes place.

I've over 16 years experience in counselling and psychotherapy and have helped hundreds of people find happiness in their lives.

I enjoy working with people and put the therapeutic relationship at the heart of the counselling process. I use a range of techniques and theory to best support you, it's very much a collaborative process, focused on achieving positive well-being for yourself.

The counselling that I offer is for adults on a one to one basis. This takes place in two locations depending on your preference

Warrington town centre
Manchester city centre

I also work online with people on a national level

Both locations are easily accessible and are warm, comforting environments.

In addition, I've 16 years experience in the Health and Social Care field leading a Complex Care service. I'm interested in people and mental health. I deliver training in the local area and also am a mental health champion, promoting positive mental health messages.

If you think you may need some help with the day to day anxiety of life, your emotional wellbeing, or even just someone to talk to, then please do not hesitate to get in touch by telephone or by email.

Experience

I've been offering counselling to adults on a one to one basis for a number of years, I truly enjoy my work

I first entered this path through a personal difficult life experience. In the past I've struggled with my emotional wellbeing and understand how difficult it can be to make sense of it and come out of the other end feeling better. This experience inspired me to help people and to try and support them with maintaining positive wellbeing.

In addition to counselling, I also successfully lead a mental health support service for vulnerable adults living in the community; the goal is to promote independent living.

Having spent 14 years in the mental health health field I have developed a solid understanding of what it means to be mentally healthy. My work is dedicated to helping people find a positive and healthy attitude towards their own mental health.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
