About me
Dr Rasa specialises in helping people work through difficult life experiences, improve their relationships and grow their self-esteem. Clients who come to see her usually describe issues with low mood or depression, anxiety, insomnia, trauma and PTSD, relationship difficulties, acute imposter syndrome or extreme burnout. They often talk of feeling emotionally overwhelmed, stressed, lonely and isolated, and may experience shame and feel unsatisfied with who they are or where they are in life.
Dr Rasa works in a holistic way and considers both the mind and the body when supporting her clients to recover their power, resilience and joy for life. She uses evidence-based gold-standard therapeutic approaches in her practice, including Compassion Focused Therapy, Schema Therapy, CBT and EMDR. She has an interest in somatic approaches and ways that trauma can manifest in our bodies. In her practice, Dr Rasa combines the Western emphasis on scientifically backed treatments with the Eastern collectivist approaches that focus on the importance of value-based lifestyle and connection to nature and community.
Dr Rasa also works with women who are high achievers but nevertheless struggle with poor self-esteem, low mood and anxiety.
Training, qualifications & experience
Dr Rasa has completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2020. This training pathway is considered to be the gold standard training in psychological therapy worldwide. Dr Rasa particularly enjoyed the opportunity to work with people across the lifespan, gaining a broader sense of how human needs change across our lives and to develop a deeper reflection on what matters most in order to lead successful happy lives.
Subsequently, she worked in a specialist trauma service and has maintained her professional interest in this area ever since. She trained in EMDR in 2024 and continues to use this approach alongside Schema Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy as her main modes of practice.
Prior to her doctoral training, Dr Rasa trained in and practiced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy within the Primary Care NHS settings.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
