Counselling Psychologist (CPsychol, DPsych)

About me

Are you feeling overwhelmed and struggling with navigating life’s challenges? Maybe you are experiencing change or dealing with difficult relationships? Whether you are managing the transition to adulthood or experiencing midlife challenges I offer a warm, compassionate and safe landing place to explore your difficulties, supporting positive change to enable you to feel more at ease with yourself and the situation you are facing.

I have experience of working with a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma related issues, physical health challenges, stressful life events and relationships.

I am an integrative Counselling Psychologist trained in Psychodynamic, CBT and Person centred approaches and draw from Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness techniques and Trauma focused CBT (TF-CBT).

I work in a trauma informed way and tailor the sessions to meet your individual needs. Whatever you are facing we can work together to explore and understand your emotions, identify and understand patterns, develop coping strategies and build resilience.

Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
