About me

Hello I am Rachel Sewrey, I am a qualified counsellor based in Farnham, Surrey. I am a registered member of  the BACP. As well as having my own private practice Serenity Speaking, I am affiliated with The Eaves Counselling & Psychology service based in Farnham and I have volunteered for a few years with The Fountain Centre, Royal Surrey County Hospital. I offer a secure, confidential environment so that you can feel safe to explore whatever may be troubling you. I am an integrative and EMDR therapist. This means I am able to tailor the therapy to suit your individual needs. I believe that understanding, compassion and a non judgemental approach are important values in life, always using these values in my practice. I work collaboratively with you, at your pace. I can offer short-term, fixed-term or long- term, face to face (in a COVID-19 secure environment) or if you prefer I can offer online & telephone therapy. Please note if you have not received a response from me via email please can you check your spam/junk folders as it appears to be happening. Please accept my apologies but this is something I have little control over.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
