Integrative Counsellor, MBACP

About me

You may find yourself functioning on the outside while feeling anxious, overwhelmed, uncertain or disconnected underneath. Perhaps your confidence has been affected, the same difficulties keep appearing in your relationships, or you are going through a period of change, loss or loneliness. Sometimes there is simply a sense that something in your life is not quite right, even if it is difficult to put into words.

Counselling can provide a space to slow down and explore what may be happening beneath the surface. Together, we can look at recurring emotional and relational patterns, your life experiences, and how you relate to yourself and others.

I offer integrative and relational counselling to adults. My approach is grounded in person-centred values and informed by psychodynamic and existential perspectives. This means we can explore both what is happening in your life now and how past experiences, relationships and patterns may continue to shape the present.

I offer face-to-face counselling in Clapham and Brixton, London, as well as online sessions across the UK. Sessions are available in English and Portuguese.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified integrative counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).

I hold a BACP-accredited Diploma in Integrative Counselling and have experience providing individual counselling within NHS Talking Therapies, as well as in voluntary and community settings. I currently offer individual counselling and co-facilitate group therapy with Age UK.

My professional development also includes training in Jungian psychology, systemic approaches, experiential methods and group facilitation.

My practice is supported by regular clinical supervision and ongoing professional development.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
