About me

Hi, I’m Preya, and I’m here to support you on your therapeutic journey.

I know how difficult it can feel to reach out for help, whether you’re experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, low self-esteem, family difficulties, or feeling disconnected in your relationships. You may be struggling with low self-confidence, family issues, bereavement or the lasting effects of abuse. You may be used to coping alone, minimising your needs, or feeling responsible for everyone else. Whatever brings you here, you don’t have to face it alone.

I believe the therapeutic relationship is central to healing. Together, we will create a safe, supportive space where you can share your feelings openly, explore difficult experiences, and begin to make sense of patterns that may be holding you back. My approach is collaborative: I listen carefully to your story, help you set meaningful goals, and work with you step by step towards personal growth and emotional wellbeing.

Whether you are feeling sad, overwhelmed by mental health difficulties, or wanting to break free from old patterns, I aim to empower you to move forward with greater clarity and resilience.

As a British-born, South Asian therapist, I recognise the importance of culture, diversity, and identity in shaping our experiences. I understand how these intersecting factors influence mental health and can support you in navigating them with compassion and awareness.

If you’re ready to take the next step towards change, I would be honoured to work alongside you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have experience working in numerous mental health settings supporting both young adults and adults. I have experience working with, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, family issues, bereavement, stress, trauma and low self-esteem. I am a qualified Integrative Psychotherapist, accredited by the UKCP. My work is rooted in building safe, supportive relationships and fostering personal growth.

My journey began with a degree in Psychology, driven by my fascination with how the mind works and how our thoughts and feelings shape who we are. I went on to complete a Masters in Integrative Psychotherapy, which strengthened my ability to support clients through life’s unique challenges and guide them towards greater wellbeing.

I have worked across the public sector and charitable organisations, supporting people with a wide range of experiences, including bereavement, trauma, family struggles, and low self-esteem. I have also had the privilege of working alongside neurodiverse young people, survivors of abuse, and adults in psychiatric settings. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the many factors that influence mental health and the different ways healing and change can take place.
