About me
Hey, it's nice to (almost) meet you!
I'm Pippa, a qualified Integrative Therapist. I help people struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, family issues and whatever else life throws at you, through walk-and-talk therapy in beautiful outdoor spaces near Reading, Tadley and Newbury, as well as online.
Whether you know exactly what you want to work on, or you've got absolutely no idea where to start, I'd love to help.
My style is warm, down-to-earth and conversational. Therapy doesn't have to feel clinical or intimidating. We're just two people having a chat about what's been going on for you.
That's one of the reasons I love outdoor therapy. Many people find being in nature helps them feel calmer and more able to open up. Research suggests this isn't just a feeling. Spending time in nature has genuinely been shown to reduce stress and improve mood. It's also fantastic for people who dread awkward silences (one of the most common fears in new clients). What might have felt uncomfortable in an office turns into an opportunity to look up at the trees or listen to the birds sing.
Trying to choose the right therapist for you can feel overwhelming, especially when there are so many different styles of therapy that even therapists find it hard to keep up!
If you're not sure where to start, Integrative therapy is great because it moves at your pace and combines different therapeutic approaches to suit you as an individual.
Ultimately though, in my experience, the most impactful aspect of therapy isn't the style or setting, it's the relationship you have with your therapist. So the most important thing is finding someone you think you'll get on with. Someone you feel like you could trust.
If you think that could be me, I'd love to hear from you!

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
