About me

Hi, I’m Pip, an Integrative and Relational Counsellor.

I support people who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious or stuck, and who are looking for a safe space to look at what’s going on without feeling they have to face it alone.

You might be here because…

  •  You’re going through a period of transition, loss or crisis
  • You’re feeling overwhelmed or finding it hard to cope
  • You’re questioning things
  • You’re stuck in patterns you keep trying to change
  • You feel disconnected and lonely
  • You have a sense something is holding you back
  • You feel drained, exhausted or empty
  • You’re thinking about the past and wondering how to move forward
  • You’re looking for a safe space

Therapy offers space to pause, reflect, and explore who you are and where you want to be. It can help you understand yourself more deeply, try new things, and move towards greater acceptance in your life.

How I work

I offer an open, affirmative and supportive space,  and an invitation to work collaboratively. I will meet you wherever you are, and will work gently, using reflections, insight, and challenge, at a pace that feels right for you.

I work with clients from all backgrounds and identities. I work passionately in a neuro-affirming and LGBTQI+ affirmative way.  I strive to work in an anti-oppressive way, staying aware of the wider social context we live in and how it shapes our experiences.

I work integratively, drawing on a range of psychotherapeutic approaches to suit your unique needs. My work is relational, paying close attention to the relationships in your life, including the therapeutic relationship between us, as an important part of understanding how you experience the world.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Diploma in Integrative Counselling (level 7). I trained at the Minster Centre, one of the UK's leading institutes for counselling and psychotherapy.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and follow their code of ethics.

Alongside my private practice, I've also worked for non-profits and a low-cost counselling service, supporting people from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences. I've worked with many issues, not limited to the list shown here.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Wheelchair user access
Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

My therapy room in Queens Park is wheelchair accessible.
