About me
A warm welcome!
Sometimes we may feel lost, scared or unable to articulate how we are feeling. It might be difficult or painful to approach family, friends or colleagues.
I understand from personal experience how daunting it can be to talk to a complete stranger about how you are feeling. I entered my own personal therapy feeling lost and stuck in my life. Having space to process my feelings and be empathically listened to was a positive experience, and led me to train as a counsellor.
What can I offer you?
Counselling & Emotional Support
I offer you a Caring, Friendly and Safe space, knowing what you share will be treated both confidentially and sensitively. I will always work at your pace. Together, we can identify what you want to gain from counselling and what support I can offer you. There is no issue or problem that is too big or too small. I can work with you short-term or longer term. I can work with clients who are 18+
Alongside general support, I have an interest/experience in working with the following more specialist areas:
- Pet Bereavement - A pet is not just a pet, but family! I know from personal experience how upsetting it can be to lose a loved pet.
- Spirituality - If you are interested in exploring your Spirituality, I work with cards and energy. I am happy to support you in your spiritual journey.
- LGBTQ+ Issues.
- Emotional support for male victims of abuse.
- Student Counsellors/Trainees.
- Supervision - I am a qualified Supervisor and love supporting Counsellors, Trainees Counsellors and Helping Professionals (Social Work, Support Work, etc).
Reflective Practice, Critical Incident Debriefing & Employee Wellbeing
I can work with organisations and employees who might want in-work emotional support. I can facilitate Reflective Practice Groups or other forms of support. Please enquire for more details.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
