About me

I use the integrative model of counselling which gives me the flexibility to apply different aspects of various models and theories if they can be of therapeutic value to you. I am also a hypnotherapist and Thought Field Therapy (TFT) practitioner, aspects of which can sometimes be blended into the therapy. I am here as your counsellor to offer support and stability in times of hardship and self exploration. I am also tasked with helping you to develop the skills, techniques and self understanding in order to gain a level of independence and strength outside of the therapeutic relationship and moving forward in life.

I am a fully qualified member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I am also qualified and have experience as a hypnotherapist and Thought Field Therapy (TFT) practitioner.

I offer a unique blend of integrative counselling skills, and where suited and agreed by you, hypnotherapy and Thought Field Therapy (TFT, or 'tapping'). The therapy is specifically tailored for you and the challenges you may be facing. I offer a collaboration of counsellor and client and actively encourage client feedback during the therapeutic journey.

The Integrative model I use allows me the flexibility to use aspects of different theories including Person-Centred, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Gestalt, Psychodynamic, Transactional Analysis and others. I also have the ability to combine treatment with hypnotherapy and Thought Field Therapy (TFT or 'tapping') where it can be of value.

For me, this profession is a 'calling' and the greatest reward I receive is to witness clients who grow, develop and evolve throughout the relationship. I believe everybody has the ability to achieve their full potential, deal with adversity and grow into the best version of themselves. At times in life, everybody can do with support. I am here to offer that.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
